Phi Delta Theta - Florida Alpha Alumni Forever proud and standing tall! Phi Delta Theta's Florida Alpha is the largest Phi Delt chapter in the nation, with the most living alumni.

Since its founding at the University of Florida on April 10, 1925 Florida Alpha has initiated over 3,000 brothers and won Phi Delta Theta's highest award, the Harvard Trophy, 6 times. Florida Alpha continues to set the Standard for Brotherhood. Leaders such as Mayors, Representatives, Senators, and national business leaders have hailed from Florida Alpha. On campus Phi Delts continue to lead with significant roles in Student Government, Charities, and other organizations.

Brother Ed Braddy (1940-2014) In coelo quies est

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., in Trinity United Methodist Church, 4000 NW 53rd Avenue, with Rev. David Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m., in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, with military honors.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 7, 2014, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street.

Edward Lamar Braddy Jr. was born January 4, 1940 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Edward Lamar and Mary Lilah Smiley Braddy. He graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School where he was a standout athlete playing football, baseball and basketball. In 1958 thru 1962 he played baseball and football for the Florida Gators and was a proud Phi Delt. Mr. Braddy proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed by the Office of the State Attorney, 15th Judicial Circuit as Executive Director. Mr. Braddy was an avid Gator fan and he loved to travel and visit friends.

The wake for Brother Crevan O'Ceallaigh will be this Friday, July 11th from 7pm-9pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center (1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458). The funeral will be this Saturday, July 12th at 11am at St. Clare Catholic Church (821 Prosperity Farms Road, North Palm Beach, FL 33408). In lieu of sending flowers the O'Ceallaigh family asks that donations be made to www.alsa.org which is an organization dear to Crevan and Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
