Did you know UF has one of the nation’s largest and fastest-growing natural history museums? The Florida Museum is a repository for millions of specimens and artifacts. Their most popular exhibit is the Butterfly Rainforest with hundreds of flying-free butterflies and birds. Next to the Florida Museum is the Harn Museum of Art, with more than 10,000 objects in their collection. The April exhibit is titled “Show Me the Mini,” a gallery composed of miniature arts. Colleges across the nation are striving to keep up with rising demand for mental health care among students. STAT, a national publication, recently surveyed 50 campuses and found the average wait time for an appointment to be about three weeks. They also found a recent spike in severe crisis cases. On April 7, Dr. Bernadette Melnyk, founder and president of BHAC, will speak about the current state of health and wellness in academic institutions. She will also share the benefits of health promotion programs in higher education.

Colleges across the US are failing to keep up with a spike in demand for mental health care — leaving students waiting weeks for counseling.
