What a difference a little sisterhood can make!

The original wall version of the Beta Tau '69/'70 composite was damaged beyond repair, so earlier this spring the call was put out for anyone with a personal copy to share it for restoration efforts.

Not just one but two sisters answered that call! Big thanks to Melody Streeter whose personal copy was used in restoration and to Mary Atkinson DeAngelis who also volunteered her copy if needed.

As you can see, the results of professional restoration/remastering are nothing short of stunning! The new composite is now hanging proudly in the UF Sigma Kappa Beta Tau house ❤️

And a HUGE thank you to Beta Tau Corp Board VP Fane Crossett for her ongoing efforts to restore, reframe, and rehang all of our composites. Your dedication to honoring the history of our chapter is so appreciated!

GET AHEAD OF THE GAME!

The Beta Tau Alumnae Football Tailgate is November 4! Come cheer on our Gators as they take on Arkansas in the SWAMP!

And you know what that means...It's time to book your rooms! We all know that G-ville hotel rooms go fast, so get your crew together and book your hotel (or AirBnB, Vrbo, etc) today.

Like last year, the event includes a catered tailgate tent on the Reitz Union lawn, fun games, plenty of photo ops and of course, tickets to the game. Watch for all the details - including RSVP info and pricing - in the next couple of weeks!

And that's a wrap on the 2023 SK National Housing Conference from Raleigh, NC and the beautiful NC State campus!

Congratulations to the Beta Tau Corporation Board, who were recognized as a Gold Board for their accomplishments on the Keys To Housing Excellence program for 2022. Thank you to everyone who was a member of our Board in 2022, as well as to the volunteers, event attendees, and other helpers who supported our mission in the prior year. It took teamwork and dedication to attain this achievement again this year.

We are working hard and looking forward to delivering another strong year in 2023!

The 3rd Annual BT Sigma Kappa Alumnae Sleepover is almost here, and you won’t want to miss it!

· Friday, June 23 – Sunday, June 25, 2023
· At the UF Sigma Kappa Beta Tau house
· Registration Deadline is Friday, June 9

Our agenda gives you plenty of opportunities to connect with your sisters, explore our beautiful house, sample local eats and enjoy the best of what made our college lives so special!

Here’s a preview of weekend events!

· Friday includes tasty eats at the house, with tours and activities that will bring back great memories of your time at Beta Tau.

· Saturday includes an afternoon adventure around town (more details coming soon!), followed by a relaxing evening under the stars at First Magnitude Brewing Co., sipping local brews and sampling food truck treats.

· Sunday is a delicious and leisurely Brunch “Gator Style” at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grill at Celebration Pointe.

The cost is $190 for the weekend and includes two nights’ private accommodation in the chapter house, Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch and Sunday brunch. Note that Saturday activities and First Magnitude are self-pay.

So Much to Celebrate!
Not only is Sigma Kappa Sorority marking 150 years of sisterhood in 2024, but our beloved chapter also reaches an exciting milestone next year! Originally colonized on April 2, 1949, Beta Tau Chapter will celebrate its 75th Jubilee year in 2024.

75 Years of Sisterhood
Throughout 2024, we will commemorate all things Beta Tau with events, memories, alumnae spotlights, and of course, a focus on our bonds of sisterhood across the years. Along the way, we’ll look back to where we started, learn about today’s chapter, and explore what the future may hold.

Be There for Beta Tau
To do this, we need you! The House Corporation Board invites all Beta Tau alumnae to help shape the festivities by joining one of our Beta Tau 75-Year Jubilee planning teams. There are so many ways to be involved, no matter your schedule, availability, or skill level. All Beta Tau alumnae are welcome!

Beta Tau 75-Year Jubilee Committee – Help plan and host a variety of special anniversary events and activities.

Alumnae Relations Committee – Support our 2024 alumnae events, which will all have a 75th anniversary flair: Summer Sleepover, Annual Meeting, Fall Football Tailgate, 25- and 50-year sisterhood anniversaries, and more!

Communications Committee – Create, post, and publish information to engage with our sisters far and wide and include them in the festivities.

Join the Team Today
