The organ/sacred music department at the University of Florida invites you to our annual workshop focusing on Sacred Music.

The UF Sacred Music Workshop is a two-day event designed for church and synagogue musicians (organists, choir directors, handbell choir directors, and singers). The University of Florida's School of Music is proud to host this continuing education event geared specifically towards organists, choral directors, and church musicians. Each year's workshop typically features a carillon recital, choral

Please join us for the 2026 Sacred Music Workshop to be held on May 3-5 here on the UF campus in Gainesville! Our guest clinician will be Dr. John Behnke, Minister of Traditional Music at Lakeside Lutheran Church, Venice, FL. Behnke is Professor of Music emeritus at Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Our opening concert on Sunday, May 3rd, will be presented by Hoggtowne Bronze, a stellar handbell group!

The 15th Annual UF Sacred Music Workshop begins this Sunday, May 7, with a carillon recital at 6:45PM and an organ recital by Young Artist David Stultz. David's program includes Bach, Buxtehude, Duruflé, Reger, and Psalm Sonata No. 1 by Brenda Portman. A great evening, please join us!
