One of the standout opportunities within Florida Cicerones is serving as a Presidential Host. Our P-Hosts represent the University of Florida at official events by welcoming distinguished guests, supporting presidential functions such as game days and commencements, and engaging with university leadership, alumni, and VIPs with professionalism and pride. This role offers experience in networking, etiquette, and event support while allowing Cicerones to make meaningful connections and serve the Office of the President. Led by our Presidential Host Chairs, this group consistently represents the Gator spirit at the highest level. 🤝👔🐊🏈⭐️
Here’s what they have to say about their experience as P-Hosts...
Having the ability to be a Presidential Host during my college career has been an incredible honor. From working in the president’s suite during game days to assisting the president and his guests at the university house, it has truly been an amazing experience and one that will last a lifetime. As a presidential host, you are able to surround yourself with the best student leaders and faculty while upholding the university’s greatest ideals. Serving on this committee and now being able to lead it has been at the center of my cicerone experience and I am forever grateful for such an opportunity.

As someone with a career interest in foreign policy who had initially pursued Presidential Hosting for the possible networking opportunities with guests of the Office of the President, I truly had no idea the amount of community and growth I would find in this position. Beyond the professional development and connections, I’ve also made some of my greatest friends and learned so much about myself while working these events. Even with the privilege to currently assist in running the program, I find myself continuously inspired by the welcoming environment and the opportunities to go professionally and personally.
