We Heard You Holler! 🐊

Here's a little bit about the impact you made on a single day:

• Geomatics Sciences alumni more than quintupled the amount of their matching challenge, bringing $20,000+ to the Dr. David W. Gibson Endowment for Geomatics!
• Florida Master Naturalists surpassed their challenge goal for a total of $10,000+ in impact—what a great way to celebrate the program’s 25th anniversary!
• All three of our Florida 4-H Youth Development Program Camps met their challenges, for an extra $1,000 each!
• Family and friends of Tyce Hall were up for the challenge, bringing $3,000+ in his memory to forestry student scholarships!
• More UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences students can jumpstart their careers with experiences outside the classroom, through VP Promise funding, UF Animal Sciences Department judging teams, CALS ambassadors, and internships at the UF IFAS Nature Coast Biological Station
• 60 people Stood up & Hollered for the CALS Florida Fund, and $7,000+ was raised for UF/IFAS’s greatest needs!

Thank you to everyone who supported the UF/IFAS College of Agricultural and Life Sciences on Gator Nation Giving Day!

Through your support, we reached our CALS Florida Youth Institute Challenge and the Tyce Hall Challenge. The college also received first place for year-over-year gain in donors among the colleges at UF with more than 300 donors this year!

With this student spotlight, meet Anelise Bullard, a junior in the UF IFAS School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences SFFGS. Bullard is the founder of the student organization Chronically Outside. She founded this organization to help students reconnect with nature, regardless of their abilities or chronic illnesses.

Bullard and the organization's members and advisors are currently curating a map that includes all fully accessible outdoor spaces in Gainesville, Florida and the surrounding areas. As the president of Chronically Outside, Bullard focuses on building community and creating a safe space for any student interested in being more active in nature.
