Montgomery College Student Career Services will host two more 2013 Spring Job and Career Information Fairs this month:

· Wednesday, April 10, Rockville – 10 am – 1 pm – Theatre Arts Arena
· Tuesday, April 16, Germantown – 10 am – 1 pm – High Technology and Science Center

All are welcome to attend: students, faculty, alumni. The event is free. No registration is required.

More than 50 companies have registered to attend. More information about the participating companies and various job titles are available through E-Jobs: www.montgomerycollege.edu/ejobs.

We just received a new FT job for a Front End Web Developer with a media company in Rockville. HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, multi-platform/cross platform design, Bootstrap, PHP. Sound like the TechLEAP web track?

Bootstrap is a neat mobile development tool that was referred to us by a TechLEAP grad now working in mobile web development.

Also, a student from the Fall '12 class, now placed, has been working with Bootstrap in our Spring 13 Mobile Portfolio class this past month, and liked it!

So, when you get a chance this summer, take a look at Bootstrap. http://twitter.github.com/bootstrap/

Maybe we'll review a short course in Bootstrap for Fall. I'll start looking at textbooks, see what's out there.

HTML5 Boilerplate is another. See http://html5boilerplate.com/ Check out the reviews.

Initial reaction, very anecdotal, seem to be that Bootstrap might be easier to use.

Built at Twitter by and , Bootstrap utilizes LESS CSS, is compiled via Node, and is managed through GitHub to help nerds do awesome stuff on the web.
