The UTMB Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation is positioned in an ideal spot to provide optimal and industry leading orthopeadiec care for the patients of Southeast Texas. The department is able to accomplish these goals through a three prong approach. One is providing an extensive outpatient and inpatient orthopaedic clinical experience for patients to provide them the best care,

educating the next generation of medical professionals caring for orthopaedic patients both in this region and as well as across the United States, and finally conducting research which pushes both the industry and specialty in a positive direction to develop better mechanisms for patient care.
