This summer, incoming senior Zet Kendall worked at a non-profit clean energy company called Clean Energy Economy! This picture is from the announcement that her hometown, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, became the 7th city in the US and the 2nd in Colorado to have 100% renewable energy. π± π‘ βI am analyzing a townβs energy usage and recommending ways to be more efficient, and also analyzing energy bills, designing solar arrays, helping to write a handbook for construction companies on how to build Zero Net Energy buildings, and lots of outreach and random intern tasks. It's super cool because we're helping lots of people save money on their utility bills and have an income qualified program where everything is free (new insulation, windows, HVAC system, fridge, water heater, etc). Fun fact, the company was started in 2008 during the recession to help the community get through, and it's since put around $2million back into the economy every year!β
