We’re excited to promote the launch of the new IUN Honors Program! Honors students work closely with faculty to pursue academic challenges through research, mentoring relationships, and specially designed honors courses that encourage them to strive for individual excellence. Honors courses are available every semester and are listed in the Schedule of Classes under Honors Program (HON). Each semester, honors students may also convert regular courses into honors courses upon the approval of the faculty member teaching the course and the Director of the Honors Program. In addition to course work, co-curricular, social and service activities provide opportunities for students to meet other students and faculty in the program and to build community and to grow intellectually.
Upon completion of the program, honors graduates receive an IU Honors Diploma, an honors graduation cord, and a notation recognizing completion on the student’s permanent transcript.
