💙Senior Shoutout 💙

Gavin has been a part of VCA since he was just 2 years old, all the way through now to his senior year—a true VCA original. He was elected class historian and has earned 20 credit hours toward his Associate of Arts degree. After graduation, he plans to pursue a career in HVAC. Gavin has been actively involved in Junior Civitan for six years, serving as both Vice President and President. He has also faithfully worked behind the sound booth for five years, serving and helping lead chapel services and special events. Gavin’s goofy personality and servant’s heart have made a lasting impact, and he will truly be missed.

Evan has been a part of VCA for six years. He plans to attend college to study criminal justice and pursue a career as a police officer. During his time at VCA, he has served on the chapel praise team for one year and has been an active member of Junior Civitan for six years. Evan was voted “Most Original” in our senior superlatives and has already earned 10 credit hours toward his Associate of Arts degree. Evan always kept things fun. Whether it was sharing laughs/fun arguments with Avaya or Simiya, you could always count on him to bring some interesting energy to those around him.

💙Senior Shoutout💙

Simiya has been a part of VCA since she was just 3 years old. During her senior year, she was elected Vice President of her class and named Salutatorian. She was also crowned both VCA Homecoming Queen and Prom Queen. Academically, Simiya has already earned 15 credit hours toward her Associate of Arts degree. Athletically, she has been a standout, playing both basketball and volleyball for seven years. She was a four-time MVP in both sports and led in steals, assists, and rebounds. This year, she made history as the first Lady Patriot to reach 2,000 career points. She also had the honor of playing in two All-Star games, including one held at the Hornets arena. Throughout her time at VCA, Simiya has been a true leader, remained strong in her faith and is loved dearly. She will truly be missed.

⭐️Senior Shoutout ⭐️

Avaya has been a part of the VCA family for the past three years. During her time here, she has earned an impressive 19 credit hours toward her Associate of Arts degree. She plans to continue her education at Gaston College to pursue a career in sonography, and then transfer to Cape Fear Community College to specialize in cardiovascular sonography. Avaya was a member of the cheer team in 10th grade and ran for Homecoming Princess, where she was named runner-up. Though she may be a bit shy, she has one of the sweetest personalities you’ll ever encounter. No matter what kind of day she’s having, Avaya always finds a way to lift others up with a kind word, a compliment, or a warm smile. Her gentle spirit and encouraging heart will be deeply missed.
