Take a peek inside the "Naturalist's Color Guide." This guide serves as a reference for naturalists to describe and standardize observed color, built in part from observations of bird feathers. This is part 1 of the guide; part 2 goes into more thorough color analysis. The guide is located on the second floor of the library under the call number QL767 .S63 if you would like to check it out!

The series was created in the second half of the 20th century with the goal of appealing to the general population, not just academic researchers.

This lovely 1940 edition of Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë features lithographs by Barnett Freedman. We often have multiple copies of literary classics in our collection due to demand- I can see why this one has circulated so much!
