Finally, we're excited to introduce our 2025 lineup of student-crafted wines!

This year's collection features a Riesling, Pét-Nat, Field Blend, and Red Blend—an incredible lineup that showcases the hard work, dedication, and passion of our students throughout the year. From the vineyard to the winery, these wines represent countless hours of learning, collaboration, and hands-on experience.

We're also thrilled to debut our new wine labels, and we think they pretty fantastic! Stay tuned—we'll be sharing a closer look at each wine in the coming weeks, highlighting what makes each one unique!

A day in the vines!

Our internship students have been hard at work in the T&D Vineyards on Anthony Road, getting hands-on experience with the important vineyard tasks that keep our vines thriving this time of year.

And on a beautiful Finger Lakes day like this, there's nowhere we'd rather be. ☀️🍃

A look at some of the future help in the vineyard!🍇

Cornell University is using the vineyards at our Viticulture & Wine Center as the site for a pilot test of autonomous vineyard mowing. Led by Lynn Sosnoskie, the project is currently testing a residential autonomous mower, with plans to move toward commercial-scale autonomous mower trials in larger vineyards as future funding becomes available.

We’re excited to support research and innovation that could help shape the future of vineyard management!

A special night before graduation!

At a private unveiling last month, our students shared their 2025 wines for the very first time with friends, family, and supporters. From vineyard to bottle, these wines represent months of hard work, dedication, and hands-on learning—and they absolutely knocked it out of the park.

We couldn't be more proud! Stay tuned to learn more about these wines and see their beautiful new labels. 👏🍇

You've met some of our alumni over the last few months - now it's time to meet the faculty and staff who help make our program exceptional!

First up is 2017 alum, Marc Peterson!

Marc joined the Viticulture and Wine Technology team in September 2022 after spending six vintages as a commercial winemaker. As the program's Technical Specialist, he works behind the scenes to steward our laboratory, winery, and vineyard operations. Marc also plays a key role in supporting student winemakers, providing mentorship and hands-on guidance both in the lab and out in the field.

When he's not helping shape the next generation of wine professionals, Marc enjoys carpentry, reading just about anything he can get his hands on, hosting cookouts, designing board games, and sipping coffee from his Adirondack chair.

We're grateful to have Marc's expertise, mentorship, and passion as part of the Viticulture and Wine Technology program! 🍇🍷

Learning by doing! Our Vit 110 students have been out in the vineyard for their internship, taking full advantage of a perfect Finger Lakes spring. Not a bad “classroom” if you ask us!🍇

After last night’s private unveiling of our 2025 wines, we had the chance to slow down and spend time with the incredible students graduating this week. From relaxing together at Seneca Lake State Park to reflecting on all of their hard work, it was a reminder of just how special this program truly is.

We couldn’t be more proud of these students—and this time of year always reminds us why we love what we do. 🍷🎓
