You can also volunteer to teach at our Open House, you’ll help introduce visitors to human anatomy. Before the event, we’ll train you on how to run one of the interactive stations so you feel comfortable and confident.
You’ll work with a partner, so you won’t be running the station alone.
The goal isn’t to give a formal lecture, but to help visitors explore anatomy in an approachable way.
(Volunteer day will be 3/20 @3:30-4 in Anderson 128)

NANSO’s First Annual Election
Are you looking for an opportunity to take more leadership in the NIU community? Well, look no further as NANSO will be conducting their first annual election season, beginning on March 1st. To apply, please prepare the following:

For both undergraduate and graduate students, please provide your expected graduation semester and year
For undergraduate students who our continiung in a masters program at NIU, please list which program you are enrolling in as well as your expected graduation semester and year
A list of other extracurriculars or organizations you are in
A personal statement why you think you would be a good candiate for NANSO
You may apply up to three positions, providing a personal statement for each position.
Please note that executive board members of NANSO automatically qualify for their cord, as long as they pay the fee of $10.

Social Media Officer
Treasurer

Wednesday, March 18th from 1-2pm
This will be our first general meeting of this month and our first after our e-board election closes! This meeting will be held in Montgomery Hall 222

Monday, March 23rd from 4-6pm
Our open lab for March. Please join us in this event and showcasing our wonderful cavader and specimen lab! Be sure to wear closed toe shoes and there is no food/drink in the lab! This will be held in Anderson Hall 128. To volunteer as a lab helper we will host a training session Friday Mar. 20th 3:30-4 in Anderson hall 128.

Thursday, March 26th from 4-5pm
This will be our second general meeting for this month and your last opportunity to make sure you are eligible for a cord! This will also be held in Montgomery Hall 222

Calling all GRADUATES!!! 🎓 NANSO Graduation Cords
Are you graduating this semester? Well, we want you to look your best when you walk across that stage! Eligible members will have the opportunity to purchase a white & red cord, signifying our bones and blood, from the NIU Anatomical Society. Each cord can be purchased for $10 and the deadline to request a cord is April 1st.

Requirments for eligibility:
Members must attend at least one event and two general meetings. We are keeping track by having you sign in at each event/meeting. Please contact us if you have any questions.

We are finally in February! We are happy to announce that we holding two general meetings this month! These meetings can count towards your eligibility for a cord.

Thursday, February 12th, 2026
In the spirit of Valentines Day, we will be play cardiovascular trivia from 4-5pm in Anderson Hall, room 128. This is the cadaver lab so please do not bring food or anything without a lid. Closed toe shoes are also recommended while in the lab.

Wednesday, February 25th, 2026
This will be our second general body meeting this month. We will be in Montgomery Hall, room 222, from 1-2pm

Hello everyone!

We are very excited to announce that we will be hosting a joint study table session with the Biological Sciences Undergraduate Student Association (BUSA)! The event will take place on November 17th, from 2:30-4:30pm in the Founders Memorial Library, room 352. This is a great opportunity for students to socialize with their peers taking similar classes, grab snacks, and cram for upcoming exams! We hope to see you there!
