Stretched our legs today and worked up our dope out to 841 yards.

Went 6 of 10 on 12” steel at 841 yards.

(And to clarify … those 6 shots were in a 7” group. Missed the other 4 approximately 1” left of the steel).

Went 5 for 5 at 614, 686, & 752 before 841.

This is my longest shots to date with my Savage Arms 110 tactical in .308.

That’s a pretty good poke for a stock .308

Seldom am I at a loss for words, but this evening I am. We’ve hunted “Dragon” all year. MLD3 has it’s benefits being able to hunt into February.

Dragon is a 7x5 w/ a spilt left G2 and a kicker on his right G2. Early in the year his browtines curled back like dragon horns. I.e. his name. His left G2 was spilt and over the year he broke off his brows and his spilt left G2.

He is still a personal best for me here in East Texas.

A warrior for sure with a big old roan nose. Thank you Lord for a blessing of a Warrior.
