🎓 Graduation Day is one of our favorite days of the year! 🎓

Today, we celebrate the hard work, determination, and accomplishments of our incredible graduates. We are so proud to support students through scholarships and opportunities made possible by our generous donors — and there is nothing better than seeing students cross the stage and step into bright futures.

We were also proud to celebrate excellence in teaching as Foundation Board Chair Scott Newton presented the George E. Wilson Excellence in Teaching Award to Cheyenne Prybylinski, Game & Simulation Instructor.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are so proud of you! 💙🎓🐂

We pause to honor the life and legacy of Jack Best, a valued member of the Foundation Board and a devoted champion of our mission.

Jack brought a deep sense of purpose to his service, offering both strategic insight and generous philanthropic commitment. His belief in education and in the potential of our students helped move our work forward in meaningful ways.

His influence reaches far beyond his years of service, leaving a lasting imprint on our Foundation and the community we serve.

We remember Jack with gratitude and respect, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. His legacy will continue to inspire us.

🌱 April is all about new beginnings.
At the Wayne Community College Foundation, we believe in opening doors—and helping people walk through them with confidence.

Through Workforce Continuing Education and the Wayne County Reentry Council, students and community members have access to resources that support education, job readiness, and stability.

Join us for a Community Resources Day Party:
📅 Wednesday, April 1
⏰ 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Day Reporting Center (714 Simmons Street)

🎉 Stop by for:
• Food & music
• Connections to local resources
• Information on education and workforce programs

This is about strengthening our workforce, supporting our neighbors, and building a healthier Wayne County—together.

💙 Because when people have the tools to succeed, our whole community benefits.

It’s Employee Appreciation Day, and today we’re celebrating Caleb Mitchell, one of the great members of our Foundation team.

Caleb may be the youngest person on our team, but you would never know it by the way he shows up and gets things done. He is always willing to step in wherever he’s needed and approaches every task with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.

Caleb plays a big role in organizing our Foundation events, making sure the details come together and everything runs smoothly. He also spends a lot of time working with our students, encouraging them and helping make sure they have what they need to succeed.

He’s incredibly gifted and talented. Outside of the office, Caleb is an accomplished piano player who loves music — something that reflects the creativity and passion he brings to his work as well.

Caleb has big dreams and aspirations, and it’s exciting to watch him grow and develop. We are grateful to have him as a steady, positive force on our team — always eager to help and always ready to jump in wherever he’s needed. 🎶

It’s Employee Appreciation Day, and today we’re celebrating one of the quiet forces behind everything we do at the Foundation — Wendy Potter.

If you’ve ever wondered who makes sure every donor dollar is handled with care, purpose, and precision, it’s Wendy. She is the steady hand behind the scenes, the one who makes sure every gift entrusted to the Foundation is honored exactly as our donors intended.

Wendy has a natural way of looking out for everyone around her — our team and especially our students. She understands that every scholarship we award represents a real person with a dream and a future, and she treats that responsibility with incredible care.

Trust is probably the word that describes Wendy best. Our donors trust her. Our team trusts her. And our students benefit from the integrity and thoughtfulness she brings to her work every single day.

She’s also the one who is always thinking three steps ahead — keeping the Foundation organized, on track, and moving forward.

Behind every scholarship awarded and every opportunity created for a student, there is often Wendy quietly making sure everything is done right.

We are incredibly grateful for her dedication, her integrity, and the heart she brings to the Foundation every day. 💙
