Sunday Fun Fact! 🤙🏾🤙🏾

Did you know that the Theta Omicron Lambda Chapter (Goldsboro Alphas) has owned and operated Alpha Arms Apartments, an affordable housing apartment community in Goldsboro, North Carolina, since 1972?

What makes this even more remarkable is that we are among only a select few fraternity and sorority chapters nationwide to own an apartment complex, and we are believed to be the only chapter in North Carolina that owns and operates an affordable housing community.

Recognizing a critical need within the community, Charter Member Brother Earl Whitted Jr. introduced the idea in 1972 for the chapter to acquire a 104-unit apartment complex that had become available. Through vision, dedication, and collective action, that idea became a reality. The property was renamed Alpha Arms Apartments and established as a flagship community initiative dedicated to providing safe, quality, and affordable housing for the residents of Goldsboro.

For more than five decades, Alpha Arms has stood as a testament to the chapter’s commitment to service, leadership, and community empowerment.

June is Men's Mental Health Month, and the brothers of Theta Omicron Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. want to remind every man that it's okay to not be okay.

Many of us carry a lot on our shoulders our families, careers, finances, relationships, and personal struggles. Too often, we suffer in silence because we feel like we have to be strong all the time. But real strength is being honest about what you're going through and reaching out when you need support.
