Earlier this week, Mr. Keiser's AP Art Class took a trip to the Goshen College Art Gallery to see an exhibit featuring college seniors. One of the exhibitors was Miss Camila Perez-Diener, who served as a student teacher this fall at Goshen High School (and 2022 graduate of GHS). Miss Perez-Diener talked with students about the idea behind her collection of work and was able to reconnect with the students. Students were also able to hear from another college senior and Professor Tiffany Wyse-Fisher.

Isaac Scott is a ceramic artist, photographer, and educator based in Philadelphia, originally from Madison, Wisconsin. Isaac's work is rooted in observation--absorbing, reflecting and reinterpreting the world around him. Scott works mainly with ceramics and photography, mediums which best allow him to interpret and elaborate upon current political and cultural events.

Scott's photographs of the 2020 uprising in Philadelphia were featured in the June 22, 2020 issue of The New Yorker.

Isaac received a BA in Philosophy from The University of Wisconsin (Madison) in 2014, and an MFA in Ceramic Art from Tyler School of Art and Architecture in 2021.

A selection of Isaac's work will be on display in the Hershberger Art Gallery from January 13 to March 15. A public lecture (livestream available) with reception following begins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13 in Rieth Recital Hall, inside the Goshen College Music Center.

The Eric Yake Kenagy Visiting Artist program, begun by the family and friends of Eric, celebrates the creativity of an artist who left the world too soon - and is an opportunity to share with Goshen College and its friends events that will inspire others to develop their own creativity.

During his two years at Goshen College, Eric Yake Kenagy distinguished himself as a gifted student of ceramics, an interest that began when he was a young child and developed during his high school years in Corvallis, Oregon. He was exploring the possibility of advanced art studies at the time of his death.
