Four GC music students were declared winners of the 2021-22 Goshen College Concerto-Aria Concert last month! Congratulations!

• Hannah Lehman, piano (Beethoven, Piano Concerto No. 3, mvt. 1)
• Caroline Greaser, violin (Vieuxtemps, Violin Concerto No. 5)
• Augusta Nafziger, soprano (Bernstein, "Glitter and Be Gay" from Candide)
• Isaac Fisher, tuba (Broughton, Tuba Concerto, mvt. I-II)

These students will perform their pieces with the GC Symphony Orchestra in the 62nd Annual Concerto-Aria Concert on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in Sauder Concert Hall!

You asked for more choir videos, and we're delivering! This time, Dustin snuck up on the Goshen College Chamber Choir while they weren't looking to catch this physically distant rendition of "606" in Sauder Concert Hall. This virus can't stop us from making beautiful music together. (Dustin says he's sorry he missed the first note.)

A collegiate choir? In a pandemic? Yes! Using CDC, campus, and safety guidelines and recommendations, the Goshen College choirs are rehearsing -- socially distant, masked, and outdoors -- for short periods of time. We are committed to finding safe ways to make music together while we navigate these difficult times. Here is Prof. Scott Hochstetler and the GC Chamber Choir, singing together. May it lift your spirits the way it has ours (even without the end of that final cadence)!

We celebrate Deb Detwiler's life even as we mourn her passing. Her love for music, faith, life, her colleagues, and students was imbued with an overwhelming joy and passion. She is deeply loved and missed by all who walk the Goshen College Music Center and beyond.

Our first sophomore recital of the year is today (although this one is being performed by a junior!) in Rieth Recital Hall. Abigail Greaser, violin, will perform Beethoven and Mendelssohn in a 20 minute recital, beginning at noon.
