Welcome back students! First week is finally here and our students in Cell Culture are learning how to culture mammalian cells. We have Aubrey our lab manager demonstrating how to passage a mother flask to a new daughter flask with CHO-K1 cell lines. Remember to practice social distancing and wearing a mask around campus. Enjoy the rest of the semester.

School Supply Drive: To give back to our community, we are running a school supply drive for Haw River Elementary. A donation box is located by the lockers in the biotech hallway.
Please donate any of the following items for this drive:
Liquid glue
Children’s scissors
Chapstick
Dry erase markers
Ziploc bags (snack, sandwich, quart, and gallon sizes)
Kleenex
Hand sanitizer
Prizes for good behavior basket: decorative pencils, erasers, stickers

LST Club T-shirts: We have finalized a logo/T-shirt design, it will be presented at the next meeting. Order forms will be going out shortly, keep a look-out in early March to place your order.

Donations also being accepted for Spring Silent Auction/Raffle baskets: We will be holding another drawing for spring gift baskets. Please donate what you can or visit local business owners in Alamance County to see if they can donate any items from their business. Some idea items are: coupons, gift certificates, chocolates, spa items; soaps, bath bombs, and anything else that will put a "Spring in your Step"
