When legacy drives impact, progress follows.
Grambling State University celebrates a historic $10 million partnership with Thomas and Joyce Moorehead, establishing the Thomas and Joyce Moorehead College of Business and Entrepreneurship—the largest individual investment in University history and the first named college on campus.
A proud alumnus and visionary entrepreneur, Thomas Moorehead made history as the first African American franchise owner of BMW, Rolls Royce, McLaren, and Lamborghini dealerships. His wife, Joyce Moorehead, an accomplished attorney and civic leader, has dedicated her life to advancing civil rights and expanding educational opportunity.
Through the Moorehead Family Foundation, their partnership honors Grambling State’s legacy while fueling its future—empowering students, strengthening academic excellence, and expanding opportunity across every discipline.
