First impressions matter! Use this checklist to start out on the right foot in your internship this summer.
1 → Introduce yourself to everyone. Don't wait to be introduced. Remember names (write them down when you're at your desk!).
2 → Ask your supervisor what success looks like for you and your team this summer.
3 → Schedule a recurring weekly 1:1 with your supervisor to ensure you have the time and space to ask questions and get feedback.
4 → Find a work friend. A peer you can ask the small questions freely.
5 → Learn how your team prefers to communicate. Email? Teams? Slack?
6 → Ask about unwritten rules. Dress code expectations, meeting culture, when and where people actually eat lunch.
