He came to SLAY 💃🏿, and no one can argue that he didn’t!
Our final feature for Senior of the Week is the Honorable Andrew Oppong

Country: Ghana 🇬🇭

Favorite Class: Philosophy 153.
Have you gotten to the point in your life where you are compelled to resubmit your beliefs to rigorous critical engagement in order to have them come out as authentic? If the answer is yes, then you have probably taken Philosophy 153 with Professor Halteman. If the answer is no, then what are you waiting for?

Best part about Calvin:
I love that there are so many opportunities and avenues for growth. You get to challenge yourself in everything you do and that’s an incredible thing—Calvin is unique in that way.

Looking forward to:
I am looking forward to not hearing my alarm go off in the morning—at least for a month or two.

Words of advice:
Question the world and question the status quo. Reject the empty and antiquated statement which says “Because we have always done it this way...and this is how it has always been”. Most importantly, be fully yourself. I will paraphrase one of my favorite quotes and say to be nobody but yourself, in a world which is doing its best, night and day to make you someone else, is to fight the biggest battle in life, and never stop fighting •
What you are taking away from Calvin: Never to compromise on my core values and beliefs to fit the mold of others.

What you would want to be remembered for:
The guy who left his footprints on the sands of time (Beyonce inspired).
