- Biostatistics. Dr. Bob Downer is the Program Director. Grand Valley State University's Master of Science in Biostatistics is a member of the National Professional Science Master's Association (NPSMA). Our biostatisticians are pre
pared for leadership, apply and develop statistical techniques in the biological and health sciences industries and benefit from valuable internship experiences with graduate placement.
- Cell and Molecular Biology. Dr. Mark Staves is the Program Director. This program is designed to produce outstanding graduates, and is the study of the biochemical, biophysical, and genetic processes in cells. Depending on whether a student chooses an emphasis in Research-based Thesis, or Biotechnology Internship, the program is designed for students who are interested in research and may consider continuing their education to earn a Ph.D. or for those preparing for a career working in, or managing, an applied science laboratory.
- Medical and Bioinformatics. Dr. Guenter Tusch is the Program Director. This program utilizes computer technology to manage and analyze information in the life and health sciences. Grand Valley State University’s Master of Science degree in Medical and Bioinformatics program is designed to integrate university coursework with business and industrial internships to better prepare students for the variety of career paths associated with the life science and health science industries.
