BOO!! Did I scare you? It's that time of year again, but don't be scared of these ghosts of Mu. Gone, but not forgotten! Life has been hard beyond the hill, yet it hasn't stopped these spooky boys from trudging on. Here's how they're contributing to society:

Benji "Casper" Colberg followed the clear guidance of Constantine's light all the way to Asheville, NC where he molds the mind of the youth at the prestigious Christ Boarding School. He used to be the king of halloween here at the Red Zone, and he continues the tradition with the little boys at the home of the Greenies!

Evan "Bogeyman" Porter currently resides in the lovely, bustling city of Charlotte, NC. This is the New York City of the South people! Porter's ultimate goal in terms of his career is to become the regional manager of Dick's Sporting Goods. As for now he is paying his dues (for once) and is the top retail salesman in the soccer department. He's known to make Neymar jerseys fly off the hangers!

Patrick "Slimer" Foley is now the proud owner of a seasonal Putt-Putt course known around the Windy City as "Patrick's Putts". Patrick cannot run the business on his own, and puts his Faith in Constantine and his trusted sidekick/lover Carrie of "Carrie's Cart". She putters around delivering refreshments to eager, subpar golf players with a lot of heart. "Patrick's Putts" prides itself on its motto "Friendship, Justice, and Learning" for all.

Max "Chucky" Burge was known on the hill for his love of performance, and has carried his passions into his endeavors in Chicago. As an aspiring comedy film actor, Brother Burge brightens the streets of Chi Town with his quick wit, charming smile, and flexible physique as a comedic busker. Curious about his act? You can find him on Hackett St. down the back alley shouting into the mic like a mad man. In classic Mu fashion, his determination, instilled in him by the famous Coach C., will carry him far with his "I'll try it" attitude.

Fellow Denisonions and Mu Brothers! Fear not this spooky season because these fine gentlemen of the White Cross are role models for all of us! Benji, Evan, Pat, and Max keep inspiring and leading every day. Society thanks you! IHSV

B00!! Happy Friday, and Happy Halloween from the creepiest guys on Fraternity Row (thanks Caleb)! To get you ready for a fun, costume filled weekend, check out Mu alumnus/current MLS soccer star Chris Kreider '12 and newly elected Sigma Chi Sweetheart Frances Gentle '16 donning the tight black leather and sassy attitudes of Danny and Sandy from Grease 2!

If you're a couple, take a page out of their notebook, but if you're alone and looking for a dance partner this weekend look no further than Henry "Sweetfeet" Pohler '17, the best dancer in the whole chapter! Mainly a waltz and foxtrot specialist, Henry has added the "Sunset Grind" and "Wright Hall Wall-Pin" to his repertoire this fall, impressing men and women alike.

Former risk manager Michael Crimmins '13 sent a note in to the page to remind everyone to have blast, be safe, and wear appropriate costumes! Brother Crimmins, whom many of the younger brothers may not know, is simply put a LEGEND, so heed his word disciples of Constantine.

In Hoc, Brothers! Happy Halloween!

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast."
1 Corinthians 13:4

Though the Bible tells us to neither envy nor boast about love, the Brothers of the Mu Chapter cannot help but boast and offer the most sincere CONGRATULATIONS to former Consul William Potter Koontz '15 on his engagement this weekend!

On Friday, Consul Koontz proposed to high school sweetheart Morgan Midcalves on the pitcher's mound of Progressive Field, home to his beloved Cleveland Indians. Brother André Bublé '14 flew all the way from Philly to capture (and properly filter) this magic moment, a kiss both Will and Morgan will surely remember for the rest of their lives. Our chapter has never known nor seen a love so pure, honest, and sincere, and Will's faithfulness and dedication to Morgan is only comparable to his undying love for the brothers of the Mu Chapter.

Will, may the spirit of Isaac M. Jordan bless your marriage, and whenever it's appropriate, always know you have 60 responsible babysitters available for your date nights to Dragon Village! Congratulations, William, and In Hoc!

Hut, hut, HIKE! On the first Sunday of the NFL season, the Brothers of the Mu Chapter would to extend a special "good luck" to Mu Chapter and Big Red Football alumnus Richard "Richie" Incognito '04.

A true underdog story, Richie overcame many obstacles in his youth to excel as a student and football player on The Hill! As the only current Denisonian in the NFL, Richie truly embodies the Denison and Sigma Chi values of being "locally engaged, but making a global impact".

For his generous donation earlier in the year, the Mu Chapter would also like to announce the exciting renaming of the former "Woody Hayes Room", to the new and improved "Richard Incognito Study Cubby of Excellence". Thank you, Richard! Go, Big Red! Go, Bills!

Who's that?! Why! It's our own brother "Shy" Ben Tracht '17! In honor of the first weekend back at school, the Men of Mu would like to remind you to "dive right back on in" to the Denison social scene!

In this week's edition of , the chapter is honored to highlight Brother Ben Tracht '17, one of our most chivalrous brothers. When he's not in the library, Ben can be seen with partner in crime Corey "Dudley" Chapman, who are the Mu Chapter's dedicated members of both the Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Board, as well as our co-Risk Managers.

Ben, Dudley, and our Risk Management team would like to remind our Brothers and all of Denison to have a fun, safe night! Remember your valuable TIPS training, and most of all, let the light of Constantine guide you safely home!

In the spirit of the first day of classes tomorrow, we encourage our brothers to get their "nerd on" this semester, just like Brothers for Life Patrick Foley '15 and Tucker Sanders-Lyle '15 did during their time at Denison! These two former Big Red scholar-athletes led by example on the field and in the classroom, working together to co-host weekly Sigma Chi - Mu Chapter study tables at the Burton D. Morgan Center their junior and senior years! Their hard work paid off, as they are two of our most impressive graduates in recent memory!

Patrick is currently a research assistant at Carnegie Mellon, working under Dr. Drew Sraver as they begin a 10 year case study on the long term effects of head trauma in Division III football. Lord knows Patrick better do something to make up for all the harm he did on opposing quarterbacks! (Patrick's 43 career sacks are a Denison Football Record)

After spending a summer volunteering for the Red Cross in rural Uganda, Tucker has returned to the United States to pursue a career in theatre. After his first casting call, Tucker was recently offered the lead role of Merryweather Lewis in the upcoming Off Broadway musical, "Sacagawea: Bird Woman". We know that Barnabus Theatre will be sold out and filled with Mu graduates in NYC when it premieres December 12th!

Current Men of Mu, remember these two exemplary examples of friendship, justice, and learning as you tackle your schoolwork this fall! Go Patrick, Go Tucker, Go Sigma Chi!

As we welcome our Brothers back to campus for the 2015-2016 school year, we'd also like to welcome back our sporty Brothers who are making an impact on the athletic fields! To get you in the mood for a memorable 2015 fall season, please enjoy Brother Cameron Monroe Boone's '17 high school highlight tape. Cameron was chased by some of the top Division 1 soccer programs in the country, including UCLA, Duke, and UNC, but said he could not pass up the opportunity to play for the Big Red's legendary coach Rob Russo. We also guess he couldn't pass up the chance to be a member of the mighty Mu Chapter as well!

Good luck to Cameron and the rest of our wonderful Mu athletes! Go Cameron, Go Big Red!

This is an exciting time for all in our chapter as we have recently initiated new brothers! As our seniors enjoy their last few weeks on the hill we hope they can have as much fun as this year's Magister, Pat Foley, had competing in the 2009 Nerf Dart Regional Tournament. Friends of the Mu Chapter see if you can spot Pat putting all his temperaments, talents and convictions into competing for the Nerf-O-Bots. Seniors, let Patrick's spirit in competition guide you in your last few weeks at Denison, and onward in life!
