This past Friday, Jake Ratliff took a small group of students to help with flood relief in Pikeville. There is so much destruction in the area, and many families are sleeping on the floors of churches because their homes are destroyed. We are partnering with IDES and taking another group out on Wednesday. Students, if you are interested, please contact Jake Ratliff. This is an opportunity to show the love of God to people in desperate need.

Jared Stanley, a junior Advanced Biblical Studies student and a member of the Worship Collective, has had a paper accepted to the student competition at the upcoming Stone-Campbell Journal Conference! This is Jared’s second time competing, making him the first KCU student to accomplish this achievement. More details will be in the next issue of The Voice. Good luck Jared! We are proud of you!

This week for Faculty Friday, we have another of our newest professors, Dr. Rondel Ramsey! Rondel has a B.A in Bible & Preaching, an M.A. in Preaching and New Testament, and a D.Min. In Spiritual Formation. He is always searching for new dad jokes, so you should send him your best ( I’m looking at you, )! He is an avid Cincinnati Reds fan and is passionate about “helping people fall in love with learning and doing all things for the glory of God.”

For today’s Faculty Friday, we have one of our newest professors, Dr. Les Hardin! Dr. Hardin has published two books, The Spirituality of Jesus and The Spirituality of Paul. He has lots of resources on his website, www.leshardin.com
When I asked Dr. Hardin if there was anything the KCU students needed to know about him, he told me this: “Kentucky Basketball Cats are stupid.” If you want to hear a funny story, ask him about the incident with the pig in a hair salon!
