On Tuesday, September 9, the University Union experienced unexpected electrical issues that are affecting the power in our building. Currently, elevators, air conditioning, some lights, and our Esports Lounge are offline.
As a result, the University Union will be closed today, September 10 from 1:30-4 p.m. for necessary electrical repairs.
12:30 p.m: The Social House will be offering carry out containers only and the Phoenix Club will close
1:00 p.m: The Social House will close
1:30 p.m: The University Union, its offices, and dining services (Social House, Einstein Bros. Bagels, and GB Grill) will close for electrical repairs. Food service will be available in the Garden Café and Wood Hall Market.
4:00 p.m: The University Union is anticipated to re-open and food service will resume
While the University Union is closed, the Garden Café and Wood Hall Market will be open for food service. The Garden Café will be offering an altered menu. Mobile ordering will be temporarily suspended during this time, and students may use transfer meal swipes to pay for meals.
During the closure, services within the University Union will be suspended.
UW Credit Union: Closing at 1:30 p.m. for the day
University Ticketing & Information Center: Accepting phone calls only until 4 p.m. ID Services, ticketing, lost and found, mailing, and other services will be unavailable.
Phoenix Store: Closing at 1:30 p.m. and reopening from 4-6 p.m.
