The Residence Hall and Apartment Association is a student governance body for housing students consisting of several appointed and elected positions. Residents vote at the beginning of each year for their building representatives. Each building has at least one representative, and some larger buildings have more positions. RHAA, a branch of the Student Government Association (SGA) offers programs
and activities, advising the Office of Residence Life regarding policies, on-campus living, responsible for equipment available from the Community Center for check-out, and sponsors the lounge televisions and microwaves, found in the residence halls. RHAA is a member of state and regional associations including the Wisconsin Association of College and University Residence Halls (WURHA), the Great Lakes Affiliate of College & University Residence Halls (GLACURH), and the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH).
