DePauw University Institute of Music The Institute of Music offers majors in performance, music education, music business and music with a second major in the College of Liberal Arts.

The DePauw Institute of Music provides an excellent musical and intellectual foundation that prepares undergraduate musicians to be adaptive leaders, equipped to actively engage their communities and pursue a breadth of career paths. The DePauw Institute of Music has an established tradition of educating leaders in virtually every facet of music, including performers, educators, composers and admi

nistrators. With more than 150 concerts, recitals and master classes each year and a full range of ensembles, DePauw students enjoy many opportunities to learn their art through performance. The Institute of Music is located in the Green Center for the Performing Arts. The GCPA houses three performance halls, faculty studios, practice and rehearsal rooms, the Music and Media Library, the Music Instructional Technology Center, and a recording studio for student and faculty use. The GCPA also features state-of-the-art environmental controls and soundproof architecture.
