Is Honors for you? To complete the Honors program, seniors must finish their thesis in HON 4810 and 4820.

If your SAT score was 1170 or higher (or your ACT score was 26 or higher) and your high school grade point average was 3.65 or higher, it would be an honor to have you join us. Entering first year students who have an SAT score of 1170 or higher (or ACT score of 26 or higher) and a high school grade point average of 3.65 or higher are invited to participate in the program. Students transferring in

to Greensboro College with a college grade point average of 3.25 or higher may participate in the program by contacting the program director. All students who enter the program without the benefit of the First-Year Honors Sequence must demonstrate writing proficiency. Retention
To remain in good standing in the program, honors students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. First-year students must complete the First-Year Honors Sequence; second-year students must complete the Second-Year Honors Sequence; and third-year students must complete HON 3010 and 3020. Honors students are expected to participate in extracurricular activities and are expected to conduct themselves in the spirit of the honors program, which is the pursuit of academic excellence. No honors work may be taken Pass/Fail.
