Wednesday, April 15 at 5:00 PM in UNCG Brown Building, Room 207 -- Join Our Cinematheque for Redemption Time, a 70-minute multimedia performance film featuring poet Jimmy Santiago Baca and jazz violinist Christian Howes — two formerly incarcerated artists who reclaimed their lives through creative practice.
Blending spoken word, music, and visual art, this screening opens space for reflection on justice, identity, healing, and human potential.
After the film, Christian Howes will join us for a conversation.

FREE FILM EVENT Wednesday, April 1. Doors at 6pm. At the UNCG Elliot University Center Auditorium. At the event, THE MATRIX will be scored live (scene-by-scene) by Shaolin Jazz co- founder DJ 2-Tone Jones who will mix elements of funk, soul, hip-hop, rock, and more. 2-Tone will also use an array of techniques and sound bites to accentuate different moments in the film ranging from aggressive fight scenes to subtle love scenes.

Apparently, Chris Everett one of the stars that keeps Southern Doc Fund running will be there and is involved with the project! :D
