Guarantee Scholars Program

The UNCG Guarantee is a selective scholarship program for high-achieving, low-income students who plan to attend UNCG and are residents of North Carolina.

The UNCG Guarantee is more than an outstanding financial aid package for those who qualify; it is also a support program that provides a variety of opportunities and services to enhance scholars' academic achievement, leadership skills, and personal success. As a result of a $6 million gift received from an anonymous donor in February 2009, we began the initial phase of the UNCG Guarantee Program

in fall 2010. The UNCG Guarantee Program will be need-based and modeled after successful programs like UNC Chapel Hill's "Carolina Covenant." The university will make every attempt to meet the rest of the recipients' financial need through a combination of federal, state, university, and private grants and scholarships. The goal is to help in-state students graduate from UNCG in four years with little or no debt.
