✨ The second cohort of Career Captains has officially joined our crew! ✨
On Tuesday, our office hosted a second launching of a refreshed initiative—Career Captains—formerly known as the Career Advocate Network (CAN). This program equips a dedicated group of faculty and staff with the tools, knowledge, and partnership of Career Services to better support student career development across campus.
Career Captains help bridge academic and career pathways by weaving career readiness into everyday conversations with students—making career development a shared campus effort.
🎓 Who are Career Captains?
Invited faculty and staff who regularly engage with students, are committed to student success, influence their peers, and are eager to integrate career conversations into their work.
💼 What do Career Captains do?
They confidently refer students to Career Services, incorporate career discussions into their roles, stay informed on resources and events, and encourage students to use career development tools.
