Greta Bublitz "got hooked" by the early assurance program to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She will attend for her PharmD degree after graduating from ECU in 2028 with a degree in chemistry and German.

Tarek Elmasri "got hooked" by the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy where he has received early assurance. Tarek is majoring in public health with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028.

Honors Abroad: 1st Place

Amelia Acacia took first place in our Honors Abroad study abroad photo contest for this shot of her at Pura Lempuyang Temple at the Gates of Heaven in Bali, Indonesia. Amelia studied abroad during fall 2025 in Australia.

Honors Abroad: 2nd Place!

Laney Minter's sunset walk down Oxford Street in London took home second place in our Honors Abroad study abroad photo contest. Laney studied abroad in the UK in summer 2025.

Eric Sabiston took home third place this year in our Honors Abroad study abroad photo contest. This photo was taken on a hike with international students through multiple Czech villages. Eric studied abroad in the Czech Republic in spring 2026.

Double winners 🌟

Congratulations to Dr. Katherin Rothermich of the ECU Communication Sciences and Disorders department and recent graduate Lacie Allen! Dr. Rothermich was one of the winners of our Outstanding Faculty Mentor award for mentoring Lacie and Lacie received the Michael F. Bassman Honors College Research Award for her Signature Honors Project, "Exploring the Emotional Prosody Perception in Adolescents with Hearing Loss: A Scoping Review."

ECU has always been a part of Dr. Omar Taha's journey. After graduating from Honors in 2020, he pursued medical school at Brody School of Medicine and graduated this spring after matching with the University of Toledo for residency.
