COUNCIL SPOTLIGHT SUNDAY 💚
Another week of highlighting the incredible women who help lead our chapter! Today we’re featuring Halleigh Keldorph, our Vice President of Finance, and Sara Kathryn Lewis, our Vice President of Events and Programming, and hearing more about their experiences in Kappa Delta.
Halleigh Keldorph (PC Fall ’24) —“My role as Vice President of Finance in Kappa Delta has been one of the most amazing parts of my sorority experience. It has taught me strong skills in organization, accountability, and leadership, while also showing me how to make decisions that influence the entire chapter. Handling finances and working closely with members has given me such valuable experiences. Being involved behind the scenes has shown me how much effort goes into our chapter, and it’s made me feel more connected to our sisterhood. I am so thankful for this chance to contribute to a chapter that means so much to me.”

Sara Kathryn Lewis (PC Fall ’24) —“Serving as Vice President of Events and Programming for Kappa Delta has been incredibly meaningful to me, as it has given me the opportunity to create experiences that bring our sisterhood closer together. Seeing the impact of these events and the connections they create has made the role so rewarding. It has also helped me grow as a leader while allowing me to contribute to something bigger than myself. I feel truly grateful to serve such amazing women through both social and philanthropic events.”

It’s time to get to know the women behind the leadership! Today we’re starting off strong with our Chapter President, Samantha Mclain, and our Vice President, Megan Reaves, and hearing a little about what their roles in Kappa Delta mean to them!
Samantha Mclain (Fall PC ’23)— “Serving as a leader in Kappa Delta has given me some of the most meaningful memories and lifelong friendships that I will always be grateful for. KD has truly been a guiding light throughout my college experience, and it is hard to fully express the love and admiration I have for Kappa Delta and for every woman who continues to support me. This chapter has shown me the importance of compassion and building a strong community, and I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to serve as Chapter President. I am so excited to see what this next year holds for our chapter!”
Megan Reaves (Spring PC ’24)— “Serving as Vice President of Kappa Delta has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my college journey. It has pushed me to grow as a leader, strengthen my communication skills, and learn how to support and represent the women in our chapter! I have gained confidence and friendships, while keeping the values of Kappa Delta at the center of everything we do. Working with the Chapter President by my side has made this experience even more meaningful, and I can’t wait to see how we grow as a sisterhood!”

Our Pancakes & Pajamas philanthropy event was a hit! Thank you so much to everyone who helped us raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America, The Ronald McDonald House of Eastern N.C., and the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation! We are so grateful for and Carlie Barbee for making this and every philanthropy event so meaningful🩷
