Great opportunity to learn about the May 2027 international trip to Peru and the summer 2027 domestic trip to Montana. Anyone interested in learning more about either/both trips is welcome to attend.

2027 Study Trips Information Session:
What: Learn about the 2027 study trips. The international study abroad trip this year will be to Peru led by Dr. Neil Lax. The domestic trip will focus on paleontology in Montana, led by Dr. Greg Butcher.

We are pleased to announce that in addition to our international trip in May 2027, we will also be enrolling a domestic Study Away trip to Yellowstone later in summer 2027. The Yellowstone trip will focus on Paleontology -- fossils! The exact dates for the Yellowstone trip will be determined later but definitely won't conflict with our international trip.

We are saddened to announce that due to low enrollment across several institutions, our provider as cancelled the plan trip to Scandinavia this May.

However, we are THRILLED to announce that our travelers were able to join a trip that will visit Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy! And because the new trip will leave a few days later, there is still time to enroll in this trip without facing any late enrollment fees.

Amazing opportunity to travel to Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm with Dr. Reinsel. The trip will leave on May 11th and return on May 19th. A few of the amazing sights on the itinerary include: the Royal Place of Oslo, Karl Johans gate, the Akershus fortress, a canal cruise in Copenhagen, the Little Mermaid Statue, Tivoli Gardens, the Granna peppermint candy shop in Stockholm, the Swedish parliament & House of Lords, and the Royal Palace Vasa Museum. And the group will travel by overnight ferry from Norway to Denmark.

The amazing price quoted here is looked in through 9/25/25.

Our Spain & Portugal travelers are all safely back home. If you enjoyed sharing their adventures through our pictures, consider becoming part of the adventure next May (2026) when we will travel to Oslo, Copenhagen, & Stockholm. And you don't need to be a Thiel student to join the group.

Dr. Anna Reinsel ([email protected]) is an experienced group leader and will be our leader again for May 2026. If you are interested in more information, please feel free to reach out directly to her.

The most current itinerary/cost information is attached below. Please note that the June 19th registration deadline is only to lock in the current price. Enrollment is possible through the beginning of the new year, but may include slight price increases.
