The College of Engineering and Technology’s Eastern Region Pharma Center recently received a $6.5 million federal investment, supporting the university’s commitment to student success, public service and regional transformation.

A new $6.5 million federal investment will help expand its Eastern Region Pharma Center with industry-aligned biomanufacturing equipment, enhanced teaching labs and workforce training to support employers across eastern North Carolina.

U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis and wife Susan Tillis visited the center today alongside ECU alumnus Trey Lewis (’16, ’18) to see how ECU is contributing to the region’s growing pharmaceutical workforce and research infrastructure.

Kailee Grubbs, Sofia Azam and Zachary Zeldin represented our Association for Computing Machinery student organization in the Department of Computer Science at the ECU Student Activities and Organizations awards ceremony. ACM received the Outstanding Program of the Year Award, and Zeldin received the Unsung Here Award. Congratulations 👏 👏 👏

Members of our ATMAE robotics team visited Schunk USA in Raleigh. The company designs and manufactures robot accessories including robotic grippers. The ECU ATMAE chapter is currently building a new robot for this fall’s national competition that includes designing a gripper. Thanks for the tour.
