This spring, students in Carla Pastor’s English class organized a book donation project designed to support literacy among young students in the community and provide resources to help them understand and navigate experiences of loss.

The class distributed the book, "Where Is Mykal?," to 25 schools and nonprofit organizations throughout Greenville. The book honors the memory of a rising sophomore who passed away in 2023.
