Making community connections through our alumni!

This week, Dr. Emily Bartz & Chair Chad Morris hosted the Historic Halifax experts to view the archaeological collections in the department along with a grand tour of the department. Interestingly, this event was prompted by our 26 MA graduate Stephen Johnson, who now works there!! Thank you Stephen!

Since we have mutual interest in archaeological fieldwork opportunities, internship opportunities, and hands-on student engagement, it made sense to collaborate with Historic Halifax - a state historic site (under DNCR). For more info check out their website: https://historicsites.nc.gov/all-sites/historic-halifax
