Greenville Technical College has just released a “Welcome Back” guide focused on helping students understand what the college will look like in the COVID-19 world. It includes tips to help individuals navigate the new environment, answers to many questions, a self-check guide for making decisions about coming to campus each day, and more. Finally, it assures students we are taking the steps necessary to limit transmission of COVID-19 at GTC. We hope this will provide those we serve with the information necessary to make healthy and secure decisions about coming to campus each day.

When you return to one of our campuses you will notice many changes – seating areas will be marked off or eliminated, Plexiglas partitions have been added to provide a protective environment for your face-to-face meetings with college personnel, limited numbers of people allowed in classrooms at a...

This week, we opened a number of offices at Greenville Technical College that can help you get enrolled. It has been wonderful to have students back on campus getting classes lined up for Fall Semester.
Next week, we will open additional offices that provide important support and resources. On Monday, July 13, we expect to open the libraries on all campuses, the Tutoring Center, our computer labs, the Writing Center and Math Center, Academic Advising Centers, and Caring Corner.
With these openings, we are ready to help you reach your academic goals with support every step of the way. Please come see us or continue to access these services remotely if that is your preference. We’re looking forward to a great Fall Semester, and we hope that you’ll be joining us!

On Monday, July 6, all the offices at Greenville Technical College that you need to get enrolled for Fall Semester will be open, staffed, and ready to welcome you. This includes admissions, financial aid, testing, the business office, and more. At the same time, if you prefer to access these services remotely, you will continue to have that option.
If you come to campus, please remember that masks are required, whether you are outside or inside buildings. The people who assist you will be wearing masks, too, and Plexiglas barriers will separate you from employees, where needed, so that everyone stays safe. Surfaces will be cleaned after each usage, and every effort is being made to maintain social distancing.
This fall, we will offer every class option so that you can choose what’s most comfortable for you. This includes face-to-face, hybrid, and online sections. Fall Semester classes begin August 24, and we are ready for you to join us! Please come and see us starting July 6. Our doors are open, and we are ready to get you enrolled and support your needs every step of the way.

Greenville Technical College has begun a careful, phased-in approach to opening offices and returning to the classroom. For the summer, most classes are online except for those requiring intensive, hands-on instruction. In the fall, we will offer all course delivery options – face-to-face, online, and a combination of the two – allowing you to choose what is most convenient and comfortable for you. This summer and fall, tuition and fee rates will not increase, so that the education you need to get ahead remains very affordable.
We expect most student services to be offered remotely until early July and will keep you up to date as we move forward. For now, the Bookstore, Financial Aid, and the Business Office are open at the Admissions and Registration Center. If you need assistance from Enrollment Services, please call 250-8640, and someone will be happy to help.
We’re taking a multitude of steps to protect the well-being of the GTC community. This summer, masks are required on all of our campuses for everyone and are being provided by the college for summer students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We’re taking this approach to demonstrate that we care about those around us and want to do everything possible to reduce disease transmission. As we approach Fall Semester, we’ll be evaluating that requirement to see whether it is still needed.
We have cleaned and disinfected all buildings, installed hand sanitizer stations across all campuses, purchased antiseptic wipes so that our employees can clean desks and surfaces between each user, and posted signage to remind everyone to practice good hygiene, social distancing, and other safety precautions. We’re measuring each classroom to allow plenty of space between desks and capping class sizes as needed. In short, we are making every effort to ensure that this is a safe place to study.
We hope that you and your family are well, that your summer is off to a good start, and that we’ll see you in the fall. Your health and safety, as well as your future success, are very important to us, and we encourage you to continue to work toward your goals with GTC.
