This morning our cadets honored 2LT Emily Perez, who gave her life in service to our nation. Through sweat, grit, and teamwork, we remembered her sacrifice and the legacy she leaves behind.

Hero workouts remind us that freedom is not free, and that every rep is dedicated to those who gave their all.

🎉 Congratulations to Our Newly Contracted Cadets! 🎉

Please join us in congratulating Cadet Mantali, Cadet McDuffie, Cadet Goldberg, and Cadet Sleiman on officially contracting with the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸
Cadets Mantali, McDuffie, and Goldberg have each been awarded the Army ROTC National Scholarship, which begins this semester and will cover their tuition, books, and fees for the next three years. This incredible achievement is a reflection of their dedication, leadership, and potential to excel as future Army Officers.
Cadet Sleiman begins his MSIII year and has made the proud decision to commit to serving as a leader in the U.S. Army. We are confident he will accomplish great things and set the standard for others to follow.
These cadets are now on the path to commissioning as Army Officers and will enjoy the many benefits and opportunities that come with this incredible journey. We are so proud of their accomplishments and excited to see the impact they will make on the Army and beyond.

🚨 ARMY POLICY UPDATE! 🚨 New Army Directive: Clarifying Grooming Standards

Army Directive 2025-18 introduces updated standards for grooming, appearance, uniform wear and body composition. The directive emphasizes military appearance as a reflection of discipline, professionalism, and a shared commitment to the Army’s values.

Our cadets are pushing through strength workouts this week, 💪 and we know for new cadets it can sometimes feel overwhelming, tough, or even intimidating. But with consistency and determination, every single one of them will get stronger.

📚💂‍♂️ Hands-On Learning in the Paladin Battalion 💂‍♀️📚

Yesterday’s lab was all about sharpening our cadets’ skills and preparing them for success in the field. Cadets rotated through stations covering:

✅ TCCC (Tactical Combat Casualty Care) – lifesaving skills under pressure
✅ 9-Line MEDEVAC – rapid and accurate medical evacuation requests
✅ Range Cards & Sector Sketches – mapping the fight and knowing your area of responsibility
✅ EPW Handling – properly detaining and processing enemy prisoners of war
✅ SALUTE Reports – delivering clear, concise battlefield information.

This afternoon, our cadets had the incredible honor of being welcomed into the home of Major General (Ret.) Ballard for a BBQ by the pool. As President of our Alumni Association and a proud member of our ROTC Hall of Fame, General Ballard continues to set the standard of leadership and service.

More than his titles and accomplishments, he is an outstanding mentor, guiding not only our cadets but also our staff and cadre with wisdom, humility, and genuine care. Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to have leaders who invest their time and energy into shaping the next generation of officers.

Thank you, General Ballard, for your unwavering support and for continuing to lead by example! 🇺🇸💜

The Paladins BN MS4s were out in full force today helping the Class of 2030 move into their beautiful new dorms on the lake! 🏞️

It was such a great day greeting our incoming cadets and welcoming all of the new Furman students to campus. 💜
