The brothers of the Mu Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. pause to honor and remember our beloved Bro. Jackie Williams.

A charter member of Mu Pi, Brother Williams helped lay the foundation upon which our chapter proudly stands today. His dedicated service to Omega, which includes his leadership as our Chapter's Second Basileus as well as his service as District Marshal for the 67th Annual Meeting of the Mighty Sixth District exemplified his unwavering commitment to our fraternity and to uplifting those around him.

His legacy is one of service, brotherhood, and excellence—values he carried with dignity and pride throughout his life. As we collectively mourn his passing, we also celebrate the lasting impact he has made in our fraternity and our local community.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and deepest condolences to his wife, Mrs. Genice Williams, and to his entire family. May they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and in the enduring legacy of a truly devoted Omega man.

Rest well, Bro. Williams. Your light will continue to guide us.

On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, participants in the Mu Pi Chapter Mentoring & Tutoring Program of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. visited Greenville Technical College’s Center for Manufacturing Innovation for an unforgettable, eye-opening experience.

The group received a guided tour led by Brother Marvin Bostic, Mu Pi Chapter STEM Committee Chairman who serves as Chair of the Mechatronics Department. Bro. Bostic showcased the advanced machines and tools used to train today’s and tomorrow’s workforce. Students learned how these skills connect directly to career opportunities with major employers in the greater Greenville area, including BMW, GE, Walmart, and more.

This experience opened students’ eyes to the many possibilities available to them—paths that can lead to well-paying careers and the ability to support their future families. Several brothers were also in attendance, supporting the mentees and learning a few things along the way.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to expose our young people to new possibilities and help them see what their futures can hold based on their interests and dedication.

It is a living record shaped by Omega Men—yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Founded by Brother Dr. Carter G. Woodson, Negro History Week in 1926 was not the beginning of the work; it was the public recognition of work already underway.

Years earlier, Bro. Woodson and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. were challenging communities to study Black life, Black history, and Black excellence with intention and discipline.

Proud moment for the Brothers of Mu Pi Chapter, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

When a community member was in need and had no one else to count on, the Brothers showed up—ready to serve and ready to help. Assisting with her move wasn’t just an act of service; it was a reminder of what Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift look like in action.

This marks our first social action project of 2026, and it’s only the beginning. Stay tuned, more impactful work is on the way!
