Edison State Community College at Greenville provides student services including, placement testing, academic advising, new student orientation, financial aid assistance, and tutoring/learning support. Students may also register, pay fees, and access open computer labs for both online and traditional classes. Academic advisors are also available to help adult students who qualify for special fundi

ng to formulate an academic plan for retraining in either a certificate or degree program. A wide range of college-level coursework in a variety of disciplines can be completed at Edison State at Greenville. In addition to the available courses for credit, Edison State at Greenville provides business and industry training, Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) courses through Upper Valley Career Center, and a variety of other programs throughout the year. Several programs can be completed in full at Edison State at Greenville with a combination of in-class and online coursework. Complete an associate degree, certificate, or fast-track certificate without traveling outside of Darke County.

The Edison Foundation at Edison State Community College will host the eighth annual Drive for Scholarships golf scramble on Friday, July 31, at the Troy Country Club. This year’s event will also include a golf ball drop before the shotgun start. The ball closest to the pin wins half the pot, and participants do not have to be present to win.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the student scholarship program, which helps Edison State students attain higher education.

During our spring nursing pinning ceremony, we announced our first DAISY Award recipients. We recognized Associate Professor of Nursing Marci Langenkamp with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators and nursing graduate Mersedes Beasley with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Students.

Each honoree received a certificate, a DAISY Award pin, and a beautiful and meaningful sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch,” hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Zimbabwe. Learn more about the honorees ⤵️

Iden worked as a professor of chemistry and mathematics at Edison State for over 30 years, and Steve invested over 50 years to the College before his passing in December 2025. Learn more ⤵️

The pinning ceremony is a time-honored tradition in which we present graduate nurses to family and friends as professionals about to practice nursing.
