The Brainfuse online tutoring program helped Business Administration major Taquoisha Moses overcome her struggles with mathematics.

"I am a conqueror because of Brainfuse!" she said.

Moses said the Brainfuse tutors "helped and reassured me until I understood the material."

"They broke down each problem step by step, ensuring accuracy," she said. "The tutors won't stop working with you until you understand every single question that you have for them."

Brainfuse is on-demand, anytime, anywhere eLearning that is available to PTC students. To access Brainfuse, log in to D2L, then click on the Brainfuse Tutoring link under "resources" on the homepage.

Employees from the Newberry County Campus received the coveted TORCH Cup, as well as coffee and donuts, for having the highest rate of participation in this year's Employee Giving Campaign.

78% of the Newberry County Campus employees donated to the campaign. Those employees who gave received individualized certificates.

All told, the college's employees donated a record-breaking $35,500 this year to support PTC students through the Student Emergency Fund, Hope Pantry and other vital resources.

In case you were wondering, TORCH stands for Teamwork, Opportunity, Responsibility, Community and Heart.

Due to mechanical issues, OMR Bakery will not be on the Greenwood Campus this morning. We expect them to be back next week.

We enjoyed hosting students from Emerald High School's AVID program on Wednesday. They toured 11 different programs on PTC's Greenwood Campus.

The Advancement Through Individual Determination (AVID) program seeks to prepare students for college readiness and success in a global society.

Honing their culinary skills, students prepared a tasty Beef Stroganoff on Wednesday in the Student Center on the Greenwood Campus. They also were able to take home ingredients for the budget-friendly dish, courtesy of the Hope Pantry.
