Call out to both classes...tell me what you think about these ideas?

1. In each class, have one or two volunteers to scan/post class notes that you can put on the fan page for absent students to access. I think if students did this, then it would help create an atmosphere of cooperation that would hopefully enable students who are absent not to feel so left behind.

2. Idea 2: use the fan page to create study groups during quizzes, tests (particularly during tough chapters), and exams. Example: Joe posts on page: hey myself, Bill, Emily, and Carrie are meeting at Caribou in the Village on Sunday to discuss chapter 5 and work on review problems at 6pm-7:30. Hope you can join us!

Students: Interesting article on test-taking. I suggest you read it when you get a minute. You may not like the suggestions (like not listening to music), but the suggestions are sound ones. Have a great weekend!

AP Calculus students: Check this out and let me know what your opinion is on this. Write it up in a paragraph or two and I'd be willing to share them with the class (anonymously of course)...it may replace a really low board problem.
