Studying for the bar exam can be ruff. That's why we are so glad Nellie, Noah, and their caretakers stopped by the Hand Law Library today to help our students decompress a little. Thanks to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs for helping bring a smile to the faces of our bar preppers as they get ready to take on one of the most significant challenges of their legal careers.

We are thrilled to announce that our Stetson Inns program has earned the 2026 Excellence in Innovation Award for law schools. The award recognizes higher education institutions that weave innovation into everything they do.

Stetson Inns is a forward‑thinking initiative that gives students a sense of belonging and purpose as they explore professional identity. Starting at orientation, incoming 1Ls are assigned to smaller groups led by a faculty “bencher” and supported by upper‑level students. Thoughtful, student‑focused programming includes insightful talks by practitioners, informative sessions on using AI ethically, and immersive discussions exploring strategies for avoiding burnout - all designed to meet students where they are.

Thanks to a community‑wide effort, Stetson Inns empowers students with not just the ability to practice law, but the capacity to become the kind of lawyers they aspire to be. We are grateful to Insight Into Academia for this honor and to the vibrant community that helped us earn it.

Campus has been abuzz this week in large part due to the record number of attendees at the 2026 Educating Advocacy Teachers Conference (EATS). This year, we had 121 registrants and 69 different entities represented from law schools, law firms, and legal interest groups. New attendees made up 44.6 percent of this year's registrant list!

As a national leader in advocacy, Stetson Law is proud to be a destination for those who endeavor to teach a skill so critical to the legal profession. This year's agenda includes sessions on everything from navigating the transition from practice into academia to harnessing AI chatbots to help students practice their skills.

Thanks to the more than 60 individuals who presented, moderated, and ran sessions - and to the Stetson Law community for helping make this year's edition of EATS a phenomenal success!

The deadline to apply to Stetson Law's summer youth civics education program, Pathways to Justice Academy, is quickly approaching.

Designed for local teens aged 15-17 who aspire to make a difference, this hybrid, weeklong program features immersive sessions and opportunities to learn from judges, activists, and others who are passionate about creating a better tomorrow.
