TOMORROW at SLU Contemporary Art Gallery, Assistant Professor of Ceramics, Katie Baczeski will be delivering an artist talk at 2PM in the East Stadium Gallery Lecture Area (Wednesday September 9th, 2026).
Following an artist-in-residence at Taoyang Alley in Jingdezhen, China, the world-renowned home of porcelain, Baczeski comes back with new knowledge and teachings that she learned from her time spent over the summer. Join us at 2PM to gain some insight into her process and how it relates to her artistic relationship between her body and clay.
Kathryn Agnes Baczeski is a clay-based artist and Assistant Professor of Ceramics at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. Her teaching and creative practices encompass clay, ceramics, sculpture, installation, performance art, and experiential immersive experiences.
