In honor of Mother’s Day, the Hammond (LA) Alumni Chapter and Hammond Kappa League paid respect to the amazing mothers and women at our annual Bell Mason Nursing Home service event.

Brothers and Kappa Leaguers played Bingo with the residents in which they were able to win prizes which included both cash and gifts. In addition, we were able to provide them with red carnations, fruits, warm hugs and a smiling face.

We appreciate the staff and residents for allowing us to continue this partnership and give an extra bit of love to the mothers.

Calling all graduating seniors. The Hammond (LA) Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity is honored to be able to award two recipients with a financial head start to college.

The Dario Gomez Legacy & The Casper Jackson Scholars provides financial support to seniors in honor of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence.

To qualify, applicants must be:

✔️Must be a male, high school graduating senior in the Tangipahoa area or surrounding area.

Grade point average of an unweighted 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.

In honor of Autism Awareness and Acceptance Day, on yesterday, the Hammond (LA) Alumni Chapter and Hammond Kappa League participated in a day of Community Service, Support and Awareness in the Hammond Community.

Brothers and Kappa Leaguers spent the day partaking in activities with children and families in our community and distributing valuable resources to families.

Thanks to all the brothers for their continued support and commitment to families in the community. 👌🏾♦️

On February 20, 2026, the Hammond (LA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., celebrated 20 years of service and brotherhood.

Our Gala was a celebration of our past, present, and future achievements. Thank you to everyone who made our 20th Charter Anniversary Gala a success.

We're proud of our chapter's impact and grateful for our charter members' perseverance and dedication in establishing the Hammond Alumni chapter and laying the foundation.

Continuing the work!

We are grateful to Bro. Jarvis Johnson, SP ’09 of the Nu Omega Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., who came through to speak with the Kappa Leaguers about the importance of having a professional résumé and understanding what companies look for during the hiring process.

He shared valuable knowledge and practical tips on professional appearance, answering interview questions effectively, and utilizing today’s resources to build strong, competitive résumés.

We appreciate Bro. Johnson for taking the time to pour into the next generation of leaders! 👌🏽

Hammond (LA) Alumni, Nu Omega and Hammond Kappa Leaguers partnered up to participate in annual Tots of Terror 2025 hosted by Hammond Area Recreation District 1 in Hammond, LA.

Brothers and Kappa Leaguers distributed candy, played games and managed concession. It was another day of service and giving back to our community.
