๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ HAPPY LABOR DAY FROM HAMPTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF RELIGION!

Today, we honor the dedication, service, and meaningful work of individuals whose labor strengthens our churches, families, communities, and world.

As we pause to recognize the contributions of workers everywhere, we are reminded that our work can also be an expression of our faith, purpose, and service to others.

๐Ÿ“– โ€œWhatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord.โ€ โ€” Colossians 3:23

May this Labor Day provide an opportunity for rest, reflection, and renewal as we continue using our gifts to serve God and others.

From the Hampton University School of Religion, we wish you a safe, restful, and blessed Labor Day!

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Trust God. Trust the Process. Trust the Path.

โ€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.โ€
โ€” Proverbs 3:5โ€“6 (NIV)

When the way forward feels uncertain, we are reminded that our faith does not rest in having all the answers, it rests in trusting the One who does. May we surrender our plans, seek Godโ€™s direction, and walk confidently in the path He has prepared for us.

Hampton University School of Religion invites you to carry this Word with you throughout the week: Trust Him, even when you cannot trace Him. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

๐ŸŽ“โœจ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT | EARLIN AVANT MOORE, JR. โœจ๐ŸŽ“

The Hampton University School of Religion (HUSOR) is proud to spotlight Earlin Avant Moore, Jr., a student in the Master of Divinity in Pastoral Leadership program. Beginning his journey in Fall 2025 and anticipating graduation in 2027, Earlin views his time at Hampton as both a privilege and a response to Godโ€™s continued call on his life.

As his first HBCU experience, Hampton has broadened Earlinโ€™s theological perspective, strengthened his faith, and challenged him to grow as a scholar and servant leader. HUSORโ€™s guiding principle, โ€œScholarship is Ministry,โ€ continues to shape his educational and spiritual journey.

Earlin holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and an M.A. in Administration and Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh. For more than 22 years, he has served as Owner and CEO of Moore & Torrence Bookkeeping and Tax Services, Inc., viewing his business as a marketplace ministry and an opportunity to encourage, pray with, and serve others.

His commitment to ministry extends across the globe, including mission work in Haiti and Israel and leading a revival in Rajahmundry, India. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Guided by Isaiah 43:26 and Isaiah 55:11, Earlin remains grounded in prayer and confident in the power and faithfulness of Godโ€™s Word. Inspired by John 9:4 and Matthew 5:14, he sees his Hampton experience as preparation for even greater Kingdom service.

๐Ÿ’™โš“ The Hampton University School of Religion celebrates Earlinโ€™s dedication to faith, scholarship, leadership, and service. We look forward to seeing how God continues to use his gifts to make an impact in the Church, the marketplace, and communities around the world.

๐Ÿ’™ Happy Father's Day from the Hampton University School of Religion! ๐Ÿ’™

Today, we celebrate and honor the fathers, grandfathers, pastors, mentors, and father figures who faithfully lead with wisdom, serve with humility, and model Christ's love through their daily lives.

Your commitment to faith, family, and community helps shape future generations and leaves a lasting legacy of hope, character, and spiritual strength.

As we reflect on the importance of godly leadership, we are reminded of Scripture:

"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." - Joshua 24:15

May God continue to bless, strengthen, and guide every father as you fulfill your sacred calling to lead, nurture, and inspire.

Wishing you a joyful and blessed Father's Day!

๐Ÿ–คโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’š Honoring Freedom. Celebrating Faith. Embracing Legacy. ๐Ÿ’šโค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค

Today, the Hampton University School of Religion joins communities across the nation in commemorating Juneteenth, a historic day marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and the enduring pursuit of freedom, justice, and equality.

As people of faith, we remember that true freedom is both a divine gift and a sacred responsibility. We celebrate the resilience, strength, and contributions of generations who persevered through adversity while continuing to inspire hope for a brighter future.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." โ€” Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

May this day inspire us to continue the work of justice, reconciliation, and unity while honoring the rich heritage and legacy of those who paved the way.
