Hampton University Film & Television Society The Film & Television Society provides a medium for students to direct, produce, and develop scripts for their original film and television productions.

The Film and Television Society (FiTS) has been a student –run organization within the Department of English & Modern Foreign Languages since 2014. The organization grew out of its former partnership with the Calliope Literary and Film Society, which was established in 2006. The organization offers internship opportunities in the film and television industry in the U.S. and abroad; the creative sp

The Department of English and Modern Foreign Language has selected Jeff Hobbs’ The Short and Tragic Life of Robert Peace: A Brilliant Young Man Who Left for the Ivy League, as the 2015 Annual Read-In book. The Read-In will take place Wed., March 25 and Thurs., March 26.

In 1988 the Department of English & Modern Foreign Languages initiated the Hampton University Read-In. Its purpose was to offer all segments of the Hampton family an opportunity to focus on one particular book for study and discussion.

Congratulations to our members accepted to the Creative Mind in Cannes program: Tommie Collins, Veronica Maccari and Briana Nealey.

These students will work in Cannes, France for two weeks as film interns working with the best of the best in film and television industries. Out of 1,000 applicants, three were selected from our Home by the Sea.
