Ready to build, create, and explore? Join us for Built Different, a hands-on summer camp designed for rising 7th–10th grade students who want to discover exciting careers in the skilled trades and technical industries!

Over three days, students will:
✅ Explore Wallace State’s skilled trades training labs
✅ Participate in interactive, hands-on activities
✅ Connect with local employers and industry professionals
✅ Learn about high-demand careers in welding, HVAC, diesel technology, construction, advanced manufacturing, electronics, and more

📅 July 22–24, 2026
⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. daily
💲 $150 per student
👥 Limited to 60 students

This is a great opportunity for students to gain exposure to rewarding career pathways, build confidence, and discover what they're capable of creating!

NACE Conference 2026!

Last week, Adam and Lydia had the opportunity to attend the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Annual Conference in Denver, Colorado!

During the conference, they participated in thought-provoking presentations and workshops, connected with career services professionals from across the country, and gained valuable insights from Lindsey Pollak on leading and succeeding in today’s multigenerational workplace.

They returned with fresh ideas, new connections, and innovative strategies to support our students and community. We’re excited to put what we learned into action!

Wallace State's Real World Ready: Life Skills Summer Series is designed for rising 9th–12th grade students who want to build confidence and gain practical skills for life beyond high school.

Through hands-on activities, real-world simulations, and interactive workshops, students will learn valuable life, career readiness, and independent living skills in a fun and supportive environment.

📅 Tuesdays: June 23, June 30, July 7, & July 14
⏰ 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
💲 $150 per student
📍 Limited to 40 students

Whether preparing for a first job, future education, or everyday responsibilities, this series will help students develop the confidence and skills needed to succeed.
